The Old Studio

The Old Studio

The Old Setup:

This is what the “studio” looked like when we recorded the “In the Darkness” demo for you.

It consisted of an iMac, a Snowball USB Mic, a USB MIDI Keyboard, and our instruments… which meant that we were required to record the instruments and vocals seperately, not to mention the fact that we were cramed for space.

The New Setup:

Coming Soon:

  • A Tapco Mix. 100 (2 XLR inputs and 4 1/4 in. inputs) (Which will give us the capacity to record with 6 mics/instruments at a time)
  • Two EV Cobalt Dynamic Microphones
  • Korg DS-10 Synthesizer

Existing:

  • Xtrememac Micromemo iPod Recorder
  • Digitech RP-250 (Nate’s)
  • Crate 30w Amp (Joel’s)
  • Washburn D-100 Acoustic (Joel’s)
  • Gibson Les Paul Studio (Nate’s)
  • Schecter Bass Guitar (Brittani’s)

Computer Setup:

Hardware

  • M-Audio Keystudio
  • Blue Microphone’s Snowball
  • iMac G5

Software

  • Ardour 2
  • Garageband ‘08
  • sonicWORX PowerBundle
  • RiffWorks T4

I’m in Afghanistan so my resources are limited. I just installed riffworks T4, I see you use a digitech RP 250 like me, how do you get your digitech RP 250 to work with Riffworks?

Thanks, Sergeant First Class “Dick” Richard G.
